Ever since its founding in 1928, Troop 24 has gone up to Camp Wolfeboro every summer. At Wolfeboro, Scouts have the opportunity to work through various ranks and merit badges, strengthen friendships, and create lasting memories. Most importantly, the Scouts of Troop 24 all know Wolfeboro as one of the most fun trips every year. We even have our own campsite dedicated to us!
Each spring, Troop 24 joins other local troops for the Herms District Camporee, a weekend of friendly competition, camping, and camaraderie. Scouts test their skills in events like fire building, knot tying, first aid, and orienteering. It’s one of the highlights of the year that combines teamwork, patrol spirit, and Scout pride. A highlight of the weekend is the "Cord-on-Blue" cooking competition.
Whether earning awards, cheering on your patrol, or connecting with friends from across the district, Camporee is a celebration of all that Scouting has to offer.
For experienced Scouts seeking an extra challenge, Troop 24 offers High Adventure opportunities beyond our regular outings. These adventures test endurance, skill, and teamwork while exploring some of the most beautiful wilderness in California and beyond. High Adventure trips embody the spirit of Scouting at its best: challenge, discovery, and unforgettable experiences shared with friends.
Monthly camping trips provide opportunities for Scouts to build knowledge, patience, and resilience while taking on new responsibilities in the natural beauty of the outdoors. Planning, navigation, knot tying, fire building, and cooking build confidence and teach lifelong skills.
